Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Vertex Commercial ("Vertex Commercial," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies, browser storage, and similar technologies in connection with the Vertex Commercial public website.
This Policy should be read together with the Vertex Commercial Privacy Policy, which explains more generally how Vertex Commercial processes personal information.
The technologies actually used on the website may change as the website and Services evolve. Vertex Commercial aims to keep this Policy and the Cookie Preferences interface aligned with the technologies that are actually deployed.

This page describes the cookies and similar browser technologies actually used by the Vertex Commercial public website. Categories shown in the Cookie Preferences interface exist so that choices can be managed if a technology is introduced later; a category is not active merely because it appears there.
Current Website Technologies
5. Current Use of Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Vertex Commercial public website currently uses a limited set of browser technologies associated with website operation, user preferences, and selected functional features.
The website may use browser storage for purposes including:
- recording Cookie Preferences;
- preserving unfinished Solution Quiz information locally;
- preserving unfinished form information locally where that functionality is enabled;
- maintaining short-lived submission-confirmation information;
- preserving other functional state required by an enabled website feature.
The exact technical implementation may use cookies, local storage, session storage, or another appropriate browser mechanism depending on the feature.
Information stored locally in a browser is not automatically transmitted to Vertex Commercial merely because it exists in browser storage.
When a user submits a form, information included in the submission is transmitted according to the applicable form and Privacy Policy.
Draft and Functional Storage
6. Solution Quiz Drafts
Vertex Commercial may store unfinished Solution Quiz responses locally in the user's browser so that the user can continue the questionnaire without immediately submitting the information to Vertex Commercial.
Locally saved draft information remains separate from a completed submission.
A draft becomes information submitted to Vertex Commercial only when the user completes the relevant submission process and the information is successfully transmitted.
The website may remove the relevant draft after successful submission or when the user clears the applicable browser storage.
Vertex Commercial does not intentionally use locally stored Solution Quiz drafts for advertising or cross-site behavioral tracking.
7. Contact and Demo Form Drafts
Where enabled, the website may use local browser storage to preserve unfinished information entered into a Contact or Demo Request form.
This functionality is intended to reduce accidental loss of information during the user's interaction with the form.
Locally stored draft information is not the same as a completed submission.
Information is submitted to Vertex Commercial only when the user completes the submission process and the form is successfully transmitted.
8. Submission Confirmation State
Following a successful form submission, Vertex Commercial may use limited short-lived browser state to display an appropriate confirmation page or distinguish a completed submission from direct navigation to a confirmation URL.
This state is intended for website functionality and should contain only the information reasonably necessary for the confirmation experience.
Sensitive form contents should not be unnecessarily duplicated into browser confirmation state.
Analytics and Marketing
17. Analytics Technologies
Vertex Commercial does not currently use analytics cookies or similar analytics technologies on the public website.
If analytics technology is introduced in the future, Vertex Commercial will review the applicable consent, transparency, data-protection, and technical requirements before enabling the technology.
The Cookie Policy and Cookie Preferences interface should be updated to identify the actual technology and its purpose.
18. Advertising and Behavioral Marketing
Vertex Commercial does not currently use advertising or behavioral-marketing cookies on the public website.
Vertex Commercial does not currently use public-site cookie technology to build cross-site advertising profiles of website visitors.
If advertising or behavioral-tracking technology is introduced in the future, Vertex Commercial will review the applicable consent and disclosure requirements before activation.
19. Device Fingerprinting
Vertex Commercial does not describe a technology as outside this Policy merely because it does not use a traditional cookie.
Technologies that derive or access identifiers or information from a user's device may raise similar privacy and consent considerations.
Vertex Commercial should not introduce device fingerprinting for advertising, behavioral profiling, or similar non-essential tracking without appropriate legal and technical review and any required user choice.
Analytics
No analytics cookies or similar analytics technologies are currently enabled on the Vertex Commercial public website.
Marketing
No advertising or behavioral-marketing cookies are currently enabled on the Vertex Commercial public website.
Third-Party and Payment Technologies
16. Third-Party Technologies
Vertex Commercial may use third-party technical services in connection with operation of the website.
A third-party service should not be described as setting cookies or accessing browser storage unless that behavior actually occurs in the current implementation.
If Vertex Commercial later introduces a third-party technology that uses cookies or similar technologies, Vertex Commercial should update the relevant disclosure and consent configuration before or when that technology becomes active.
Where third-party technology processes personal information, additional information may also be available in the Privacy Policy.
20. Payment Technologies
If Vertex Commercial uses a third-party payment interface on the website, the relevant payment service provider may use technical information, cookies, browser storage, authentication mechanisms, or fraud-prevention technologies as part of payment processing.
The exact technologies depend on the production payment integration.
Vertex Commercial will not identify a payment provider or specific payment cookie on this page unless the provider and technology are actually used and the information has been verified.
Payment-related processing is also described in the Privacy Policy and Billing, Cancellation & Refund Policy.
21. Security Technologies
Vertex Commercial or configured infrastructure providers may process technical information necessary to protect the website, prevent abuse, maintain availability, or investigate security events.
Where a browser technology is strictly necessary for a security function required to provide the requested service, it may be treated according to the rules applicable to necessary technologies.
Security labels must not be used to disguise advertising or behavioral tracking.
22. Authentication Technologies
Protected Vertex Commercial Services may use authentication or session technologies necessary to maintain signed-in access and protect account functionality.
The exact technologies used in authenticated product areas may differ from those used on the public marketing website.
This public Cookie Policy primarily describes the Vertex Commercial website and should not be interpreted as an exhaustive technical specification of every authenticated product session mechanism.
Where additional disclosures are required for authenticated Services, Vertex Commercial may provide them through the relevant product or privacy documentation.
Privacy and Consent
23. Duration
Cookies and browser-storage items may remain for different periods depending on their purpose and technical configuration.
Some information may exist only during a browser session, while other information may remain until a configured expiration, successful workflow completion, application cleanup, or deletion by the user.
Vertex Commercial does not publish invented universal expiration periods.
Where specific cookie or storage durations are publicly listed, those durations must be taken from the actual current technical configuration.
24. Data Associated With Browser Technologies
Depending on the technology and purpose, information associated with browser technologies may include:
- privacy preferences;
- functional state;
- draft form information;
- submission-confirmation state;
- session information;
- technical identifiers;
- browser or device information;
- IP-related technical information;
- security information;
- other information required for the enabled feature.
Not every category is collected by every technology.
Vertex Commercial's broader processing of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.
25. Legal Treatment
Different privacy and electronic-communications laws may apply depending on the user's location, the technology used, and the purpose for which information is stored or accessed.
Vertex Commercial therefore evaluates cookie and similar-technology requirements according to the relevant technology, purpose, jurisdiction, and applicable law.
This Policy does not state that every browser technology requires consent in every jurisdiction.
It also does not state that a technology is exempt from consent merely because Vertex Commercial labels it Essential.
26. Privacy Choices and Marketing Consent
Cookie consent is separate from consent to receive marketing communications.
Accepting or rejecting a cookie category does not by itself subscribe a user to Vertex Commercial marketing emails.
Likewise, agreeing to receive marketing communications does not by itself authorize unrelated browser tracking.
Where consent is required for either activity, the applicable choice should be handled according to its own purpose.
27. Form Privacy Acknowledgements
Privacy acknowledgements used in the Vertex Commercial Solution Quiz, Contact form, or Demo Request are separate from the Cookie Preferences interface.
Submitting a business inquiry does not require a user to accept optional Analytics or Marketing cookies.
Optional marketing communications consent must remain separate from required information concerning processing of the submitted request.
Technology Inventory
28. Current Cookie and Browser Technology Inventory
Vertex Commercial maintains the following public inventory based on technologies identified in the current website implementation.
The inventory should describe only technologies that are actually present.
A listed technology should include, where technically applicable:
- name or storage key;
- category;
- first-party or third-party status;
- purpose;
- type of storage;
- duration or persistence behavior;
- provider, where a third party actually sets or accesses the technology.
In the current implementation, the public Vertex Commercial website does not set traditional browser cookies of its own and does not load third-party analytics, advertising, session-replay, tag-management, or consent-vendor scripts. The technologies below are first-party browser storage written by this website in the visitor's own browser.

Changes
31. Changes to Technologies
Vertex Commercial may add, remove, or modify website technologies as the website and Services evolve.
Before introducing a technology that materially changes tracking or privacy practices, Vertex Commercial should evaluate the relevant disclosure, consent, and data-protection requirements.
The Cookie Policy and Cookie Preferences interface should be updated when necessary to remain consistent with the actual implementation.
32. Changes to This Cookie Policy
Vertex Commercial may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in technology, legal requirements, website functionality, or privacy practices.
The current version will be published on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
A change to this Policy does not by itself constitute user consent to newly introduced optional tracking where consent is required.
